We are delighted to invite you to the Trams Creative Learning with iPad for Primary Teachers. This event is free to attend.

Our Creative Learning with iPad event will show you how to engage students in the creative process using multiple iOS apps in a connected workflow. Explore the great resources and apps on offer and learn creative ways to use iPad in your classroom.

During the event we will be taking attendees on a mini field trip into the gallery with their iPad (A pre-configured iPad will be made available to each attendee to use on the day). Apple Education Trainer Kate Cheal will lead the day.

11:00 - 13:00 Creative Learning
Our Creative Learning with iPad session will show you how to use multiple Apple and third party apps in a connected workflow. Apply the creative process to your lessons to help your learners develop critical thinking and problem solving skills. Including a field trip into the gallery to put your learning into practice, this session is designed to be hands on and practical.
13:00 - 13:30 Lunch
13:30 - 14:45 Creative Coding
This session will demonstrate a creative way to teach basic coding in the classroom. Using Sphero robots and looking at green screening too, we will document our coding journey and share the results!

Kate Cheal

Kate Cheal is an Apple Distinguished Educator and an Apple Education Trainer who is passionate about the potential of online and mobile tools to facilitate ‘anytime, anywhere learning’ and to create a culture of collaborative, connected education.

Kate taught as Head of Music for 14 years and also in higher education where she implemented a Mac, iPad and Google Apps learning environment for The Condé Nast College - designing a curriculum which had the use of social media at its heart. She now specialises in training educators to use technology to transform learning whilst still teaching part time.
