Everyone Can Create: Music

London CLC
9th May 2019 from 10:00am - 3:30pm

Register

We don't just listen to music, we feel it. It's a language that speaks to students in ways that words and pictures sometimes don't. Creating and playing music can help students express emotion, communicate ideas, tell stories and connect with others. With GarageBand, students have everything they need to make their own songs, soundscapes and podcasts that show what they know through music and sound.

During this event former head of music Christian Turton will guide you through a series of fun activities to help you acquire key skills for the classroom and build a final project.

This event will demonstrate how to introduce music across the curriculum and is for everyone, not just music teachers.

The day will cover:

  • An introduction to Everyone Can Create
  • Integration ideas including Math, Literacy & Literature, History and Science
  • Live Loops and Song Construction
  • Rhythm and Beat Making
  • Chords and Melodic Instruments
  • Writing and Recording Lyrics
  • Post Production

This event is FREE to attend and includes lunch
