High-speed connectivity

The Fibre Channel models of the ETERNUS DX80 supply data at high transfer rates of up to 8 Gbit/s to directly attached host systems or to a bigger SAN infrastructure. The combination with PRIMERGY servers ensures high speed access to various types of data. Highspeed SAN connectivity is delivered using switches from Brocade. Efficient and flexible Brocade 300 switches work at 8 Gbit/s with up to 24 ports to connect many servers and storage systems in highly available Dynamic Infrastructures.

ETERNUS DX60/DX80 benefits

ETERNUS DX60/DX80 disk storage systems have been designed to keep your data safe, come what may. They flexibly scale to a maximum of 120 terabytes of storage volume (DX80) using the relevant RAID levels 0, 1, 5, 1+0, 5+0 and 6. Should disks be removed from the storage system, an optional hard disk encryption prevents unauthorised access to the data. ETERNUS DX60/DX80 assure the integrity of data throughout the I/O process by parity checks. Maintenance-free capacitor technology ensures this, even in the event of power outages.
