Jamf Pro 10.5 enhances how end users can interact with IT on their mobile devices, makes it easier to manage devices in the classroom and enhances workflows for organisations using iOS and Apple TV devices together.
Additionally, Jamf Pro 10.5 includes a new script editor with syntax highlighting and themes, the ability to suppress proximity setup via the Healthcare Listener and enhancements to the user-initiated enrolment process.Highlights of what’s new
Self Service for iOS The new Self Service introduces a new look and feel, closely matching the design language of Jamf Self Service for macOS. Its responsive design ensures it looks great on all devices from the iPhone X to the iPad Pro. The new Self Service has been submitted to the App Store for approval and will ship shortly after the Jamf Pro 10.5 release.
Bluetooth Management Bluetooth management allows organisations to turn on or off bluetooth on specific devices via a management command, making it easier to use the Classroom app by ensuring a constant connection. This works for iOS and macOS and can be sent as a mass remote command to multiple devices.
AirPlay and TV Remote Management IT admins managing Apple TV devices will be able to utilise the AirPlay permissions feature to automatically map and deploy the Apple TV Remote App restriction to iOS devices based on common User & Location criteria shared between Apple TV and iOS devices. This enables users to fully control Apple TV and the connected display with just an iOS device.
