New Business Sales Manager - Data Storage

The Role

We are the number one Quantum Storage Reseller in EMEA. Trams has been the recipient of the Quantum StorNext VAR of the year award on an unprecedented 8 occasions. Our customers include BBC, SKY UK, Manchester United TV, Burberry, and many more in M&E, and Corporate environments.

We are currently looking to expand our footprint further into corporate markets and require an experienced door-opener to generate new sales opportunities. The successful applicant will be working with our Head of Sales to focus on selling Quantum, DellEMC, HPE, NetApp and Pure storage, along with the associated infrastructure, back-up and archive software and support services.

The ideal candidate will have experience in proactive sales, selling Quantum, DellEMC and/or competitor scale-out storage solutions, at all levels. With excellent verbal and written communication skills you will generate your own pipeline and drive opportunities.

Candidates must also have solid CRM skills and be able to track the sales process from Lead to Opportunity to the final Sale.

You will have the benefit of our in-house technical team and storage consultants to help you specify and design the right solution to match customer requirements. You will also be expected to work closely with the Business Development Managers at each manufacturer. All our vendors are extremely supportive of our efforts and you will have their full backing to help you succeed in this exciting new role.

The role will be reporting directly into the Head of Sales, and would be expected to work closely on a mutual business plan.

The role would be considered as a hybrid role, with the successful candidate to be expected to be able to travel into the London HQ a minimum of 3 days per week.

Essential Experience & Skills to Include:

  • Sales experience of Quantum/DellEMC storage solutions
  • Experience and evidence of carrying a minimum of a £300k+ Gross profit target (per Annum)
  • Experience with selling both Cloud and on premises solutions, (AWS experience would be an advantage)
  • Hunter mentality and be comfortable working in an environment with a high focus on outbound lead generation.
  • Excellent ‘Business Sense’ for evaluating sales opportunities in a dynamic environment.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills and able to adapt these depending on the client.

  • Strong sales and marketing skills: needs analysis, positioning, and business justification and closing.

  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment.

  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a highly professional approach.
  • An understanding and experience of how to promote complex technology solutions

  • Solid experience working with Data and managing a CRM

Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 p.a. (depending on experience and proven track record) + Commission (OTE Approx £100K+ uncapped)
